How It Works

Adding a text watermark to a PDF with LocalPDFs is simple and completely private. Start by dragging and dropping your PDF file into the upload area, or click to select it from your device. The tool accepts files up to 10 MB and a maximum of 500 pages.

Once the file is loaded, you can customise the watermark: enter your text, choose a font (Helvetica, Times‑Roman, or Courier), set the font size and colour, adjust opacity, rotation angle, and pick one of nine positions (top‑left, center, bottom‑right, etc.). A live preview shows how the first page will look with the current settings.

You can also limit the watermark to a specific page range. When you are satisfied, click “Add Watermark”. The tool processes the PDF locally inside your browser, without sending any data to a server. The watermarked PDF is then available for immediate download. Your original file stays on your device, and no one else ever sees your documents.

Does the tool support rotated watermarks?

Absolutely. Enter any rotation angle from -360° to 360° to place the watermark diagonally or at any custom angle.

Do I need to create an account?

What happens to my file after adding a watermark?
