Unlocking a password‑protected PDF with LocalPDFs is simple and completely private. Start by dragging and dropping your locked PDF file into the upload area, or click to select it from your device. The tool accepts files up to 10 MB and a maximum of 500 pages.

If the PDF is password‑protected, you will be prompted to enter the document password. After entering the password, click “Verify Password” to confirm it is correct. Once verified, the “Unlock PDF” button appears. Click it, and the tool removes the password restrictions locally inside your browser – without sending any data to a server.

When the process completes, you can download the unlocked PDF immediately. Your original file stays on your device, and no one else ever sees your documents. Note that this tool requires the correct password – it cannot bypass unknown passwords for legal and security reasons.
