How It Works

Deleting pages from a PDF with LocalPDFs is simple and completely private. Start by dragging and dropping your PDF file into the upload area, or click to select it from your device. The tool accepts files up to 10 MB and a maximum of 500 pages.

Once the file is loaded, you will see thumbnail previews of every page. Click on any page to mark it for deletion – selected pages turn red with a checkmark. You can also use “Select All” or “Deselect All” to speed up the process. After choosing the pages to remove, click “Delete Selected”.

The tool processes the deletion locally inside your browser, without sending any data to a server. The remaining pages are then combined into a new PDF that you can download instantly. Your original file stays on your device, and no one else ever sees your documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to delete pages from a PDF online with LocalPDFs?

Yes – your file never leaves your browser. All editing happens locally on your device. No upload, no server, no privacy risk.

What is the maximum file size or number of pages?

Currently we support up to 10 MB and up to 500 pages.

Can I see thumbnails of all pages before deleting?

Yes. After uploading, the tool displays thumbnail previews of every page so you can visually select which ones to remove.

Can I delete pages from a password‑protected PDF?

You must unlock the PDF first (using our Unlock PDF tool) if you have the password. Currently the delete tool does not bypass encryption.

Will deleting pages affect the rest of my document?

No – only the pages you specify are removed. The remaining pages keep their original order, formatting, and content.

Can I undo page deletion after I process the file?

Once you download the new PDF, you cannot undo. We recommend keeping your original file separate. There is no server to store previous versions.

Do I need to create an account?

No account, no sign‑up, no email required. Use the tool immediately.

What happens to my file after deleting pages?

Nothing – because it never leaves your computer. Once you close the browser tab, all data is gone.
